3. Arizona’s youth hung around with USC

Kevin Sumlin has not been the head coach, most fans in Tucson were expecting. His tenure at Texas A&M showed signs of success, that he could translate. That has not been the case after going 5-7 and 4-8 over the past two seasons.

They have found something with the sophomore quarterback and in his 4th start, he got better as the game came along.

Regardless of USC’s incapability to finish drives, Arizona’s defense was a big part of why USC struggled. Regardless of giving up 498 yards, it was the defense that made big time plays in the red zone and basically kept Arizona in this game. Grant Gunnell would finish with 286 yards and three touchdowns in the air. Also, he added 40 yards on the ground.

Arizona is in the right direction, but could not come up with a stop late.
