Oklahoma State Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Oklahoma in Week 12
By John Scimeca
3. They actually play the game
Let’s be optimistic here.
Any fan wants to see this game actually happen. Last week, 15 different college football games were either canceled or suspended due to active COVID-19 cases or protocols. Some other teams played short-handed without certain players and coaches missing due to exposure or actual positive cases.
But on the flip side, no sensible person would want to put more players, coaches, and other officials/employees at risk if there are positive cases affecting either team.
It’s no secret that numbers are steadily increasing in Oklahoma around the nation, and NCAA football is far from immune.
While we all hope for a decline in cases, a decline in coronavirus-related deaths, and an increase in available hospital beds, we can keep our fingers crossed for something else, too: that Bedlam is able to happen unimpeded during this unpredictable football season.
Attendance will be limited and restrictions will abound at OU’s Gaylord Family Memorial Stadium, but most fans will be happy to simply see the two teams take the field.
