3. Penalties were almost the Achilles heel for NC State

In order to win a football game, majority of the tools you need is to win the turnover battle, dominate time of possession, or be the more disciplined team. The area where NC State was hurt the most was disciplined as the Wolfpack committed 14 turnovers for a total of 123 yards.

There were a couple of multiple calls that were declined, that didn’t add to the final total for the game. Liberty is a team that can hurt you if you make mistakes. NC State can be a fun team to watch, when they have a good running game going. However, if they want to have more wins like that, they cannot lean on turnovers and focus on cleaning up the penalties

For Liberty, they will be back at home and face off against 0-3 UMass. For NC State, they will head up to the New York area to face lowly Syracuse.
