1. Bijan Robinson is becoming the lead back

Over the past few seasons, there has been uncertainty as to the identity of the running back room. Ever since the departure of D’Onta Foreman, Texas has been looking for a go to running back. Although Roschon Johnson has been solid, Bijan Robinson looks like the future at the position.

Over the past three games, Robinson has rushed for 50 or more yards in each, headlined by a 12-carry, 113-yard performance against West Virginia last week.

Robinson has an excellent ability of strength and vision as he displays both in this powerful run. Robinson was able to get big, tough runs against Iowa State. Although he didn’t blow up the stat sheet as he only 57 yards, it was tough yardage situations that he was able to convert.

The former five-star recruit from the 2020 class brings promise. With Johnson’s ability to be a capable receiving back, expect Robinson to carry the load over the course of the season.
