1. Oregon’s long-shot playoff hopes are now officially over

It was not very probable, especially the way Oregon has been surviving games as of late, but it can now be said that Oregon and the Pac-12 are officially out of the playoff race.

It was going to take a dominant team and some chaos around them to get there, but now the Ducks may not even make it to the Pac-12 title game.

Oregon fans should not overreact to this team falling short of playoff expectations because of the new starters and the shortened season. This team is heading in the right direction under Mario Cristobal and its fans should be excited, no matter the result tonight.

Oregon must now win out to have a shot at going back to the conference title game and to have a shot at going to the New Year’s Six and that won’t be easy with a game against Washington still on the schedule.
