Louisiana has featured in both the AP Top 25 and the Coaches Poll at various points this season. After crushing rival Louisiana-Monroe on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Ragin’ Cajuns could land in the College Football Playoff selection committee rankings for the first time this year. The 70-20 victory proved Billy Napier’s team is among the best in the country, and with their only loss came to undefeated Coastal Carolina there will be no excuse to keep them out.

Levi Lewis threw for three touchdowns and 147 yards on 18-of-25 passing and ran for 55 yards and a pair of rushing scores. Backup quarterback Jaiave Magalei added another touchdown pass in limited play, while Trey Ragas, Elijah Mitchell, and Michael Orphey Jr. all had rushing touchdowns in the big win. The Ragin’ Cajuns defense held ULM to 247 yards of offense and forced three turnovers to chip in to the victory effort.

Week 14 features Louisiana’s regular-season finale on Friday night at Appalachian State. The rematch of last year’s Sun Belt championship game offers one last opportunity for the Ragin’ Cajuns to make a statement for the committee before they get a rematch against Coastal Carolina in this year’s Sun Belt title tilt.
