5. Texas (at Kansas State)

Gut check time for Texas against a dangerous but inconsistent Wildcats team.

Texas is coming off a brutal loss to Iowa State that all but knocked them out of the Big 12 title picture. Now, rumors are swirling that Tom Herman is on his way out to be replaced a National Championship winning coach from Florida and Ohio State.

How does Texas respond?

The Longhorns will be without key offensive lineman Sam Cosmi after he opted out of the remainder of the season. The Longhorn offense is still going to be good, but there will be a notable gap.

Those question marks up up a lot more for Kansas State to play with. Notably, Wyatt Hubert and his 12 tables for loss and 7.5 sacks has a door opened even further for an explosive day.

The rest of the Kansas State team will have to play more like they did in October and less like November. The Wildcats have been close in two of the last three games, but were totally dominated by Iowa State in a game that looked more like the other Kansas school was substituting.

With Texas down and Kansas State still trying to salvage a decent season, expect a big performance from the Wildcats on their Senior Day.
