2. Isaiah Spiller breaks 1,000 yards

Isaiah Spiller came close last season, posting 946 yards and 10 touchdowns on 5.4 yards per touch. He looked like the premier back for the Aggies and that led to a Jashaun Corbin transfer.

Only 54 yards stood between him and being the second straight 1,000-yard rusher for Texas A&M, following Trayveon Williams who posted over 1,700 yards in 2018. He got off to a red-hot start to the 2020 season and he’s currently sitting at 784 yards and six touchdowns on 6.0 yards per touch. The sophomore has rushed for at least 100 yards in five out of seven games.

That’s only going to continue in December with two regular season games left.

Spiller is going to average nearly 150 yards in the final two against Auburn and Tennessee on the road to break 1,000 on the season and break that one-year lull with no 1,000-yard rusher at Texas A&M.

This is assuming the Ole Miss game is never rescheduled. If that game is played, I see Spiller breaking 1,200 yards on the season.

This kid is going to head into bowl season red-hot and he’ll be a top Heisman contender at running back in 2021.
