1. This team has no problem getting up for games

You would think that a playoff contender like Notre Dame would have a hard time getting up for a game like this one against Syracuse. The Irish came out looking sluggish but picked up the pace.

Notre Dame were only up 3-0 after the first quarter and then the Orange took a 7-3 lead and it looked like the Irish might be on upset alert. Brian Kelly wouldn’t let that happen as the Irish responded with 21 straight points heading into halftime. The game was essentially over after that point.

The Irish were motivated enough to get the job done and head into the final week of the regular season with a perfect record.

Some may have looked at Syracuse as a trap game or one that would be hard to get motivated for, especially with no fans but Notre Dame took care of business. This team is just different than most Notre Dame teams from years past.

The playoff is calling.
