Florida State Football: 3 takeaways from win over Duke in Week 15

1. Mike Norvell and his staff can see positive signs in tough season
Let’s be honest, this season has be done for FSU since their devastating loss to Miami early in the year. The Noles have continued to face much adversity throughout the season, from Mike Norvell testing positive for COVID-19, to the team rebelling against him during the offseason, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney even called the FSU administration out for ducking a game against the Tigers.
Due to opt-outs and injuries, the Noles entered Saturday’s game with only 51 scholarship players dressed for the game. That was a blessing in disguise for the Noles as they found two new offensive playmakers in Jahki Douglas and Lawarance Toafili.
On the defensive side they were able to force four turnovers the most they’ve been able to create in a single game all season. If Norvell can fill this team’s roster with more capable playmakers, FSU could be a team looking for a big bounce back in 2021.
