Randolph Kpai

Nebraska seemed to do a better job of focusing on the Midwest in this recruiting cycle and a big addition in that region comes in the form of Randolph Kpai, the top player in South Dakota.

Kpai is going to have to add some weight but he’s a playmaker and is ranked No. 252 in the 247 sports composite rankings. He’s listed as an outside linebacker but could easily play inside too and is probably best at stopping the run, although he’s solid in coverage too.

Nebraska football clearly needs more speed on the defensive side of the ball and Kpai is a kid that had legitimate interest from other big programs and also was wanted by Iowa, Iowa State, Indiana, Wisconsin and others in the Big Ten.

Landing him and Fidone are nice wins for Frost and it should translate to better results on the field right away next season and I’d expect Kpai to push for time early, at least as a rotational guy.
