2. Notre Dame’s offensive line and run game are legit

Notre Dame’s offensive line has been great all year. A lot of people would say that they are the best offensive line in the country, and really it is hard to argue that statement.

Even without starting center Jarrett Patterson the offensive line is still loaded with talent all across the board. Notre Dame is nicknamed ‘Tight End U’ by many with their success at the position, but it soon may need to add the nickname Offensive Line University as well.

You know who also really loves the Notre Dame offensive line unit? Kyren Williams, Chris Tyree, C’Bo Flemister, and Ian Book are a few names that really do this year.

What makes Notre Dame so dangerous is they do not just have one talented running back. The Irish can rotate three different running backs out there, and also throw in quarterback Ian Book who is very good on the run too. Notre Dame comes into this game averaging just about 235 yards per game on ground rushing.

Williams proved on the second play of the game in the first matchup against Clemson that Notre Dame can run the ball successfully. Williams ran it 65 yards for a Notre Dame touchdown.

Notre Dame was able to run for 208 yards in the first matchup early this year. As I mentioned earlier, Clemson was missing a few players on the defensive side of the ball in that game, but still expect Notre Dame to run the ball on the ground successfully like they have all year long, and most importantly keep control in the trenches.
