1. Ian Book is playing lights out

How many quarterbacks in the country are playing better than Ian Book right now? Honestly, you could probably make a case for Mac Jones, Kyle Trask and Justin Fields, but not many more than that at the quarterback position.

Ian Book is not a huge quarterback, does not have a huge arm, but you know what he does do? He wins games.

The graduate senior gunslinger picked up his 30th career win as the starting quarterback on Dec. 5 against Syracuse. Book is now all alone at the top for wins among starting quarterbacks at Notre Dame.

Book can beat you in so many ways. If you drop more guys into coverage, he will take his check downs. Want to blitz Book? He will find the hot route, or dodge the blitz and use his feet to scramble to pick up huge chunks of yards.

Book’s stat line is very impressive. He has thrown for 2,382 passing yards, 15 touchdown passes, almost 500 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns as well.

One of the more underrated parts of Ian Book’s game is his turnover ratio. Book is outstanding at holding onto the ball and not turning it over.

This year Ian Book only has two interceptions and two fumbles. Some quarterbacks have had that many turnovers in only a few games, but not Book. Not turning the ball over is exactly what you expect out of a fifth year senior captain.

Will Book win the Heisman? No, but it is kind of shocking how not many even have him the conversation for the award.

Book has the Irish offense rolling right now. Giving Book an extra week to prepare could spell trouble for the Tigers once again.

Book already helped put up over 500 yards of offense against the Clemson defense once already this year. Ian Book has been shining all year long. Truly believe that will continue Saturday in Charlotte.

Notre Dame will be playing in the playoffs for the second time in the last three years. Only difference is this time Notre Dame will not be just going to the playoffs undefeated. The Irish led by Ian Book will be going as the champions of the ACC.

If you are a betting man, or woman do not stop at only taking the points for Notre Dame. Take the money line and thank me later.

Prediction: Notre Dame 31, Clemson 28
