1. Texas A&M gives the playoff committee something to think about

Sitting at No. 5 in the College Football Playoff rankings, Texas A&M needs to make a statement in the final regular season game while also getting some help from around the country.

Texas A&M is going to smack Tennessee in the finale, winning by at least three touchdowns while a team like Ohio State won’t win that convincingly in the Big Ten title game and one of Clemson or Notre Dame might just get knocked out of the field.

With Texas A&M winning by 3-4 touchdowns on the road against Tennessee, the Aggies are going to make the playoff committee make a tough decision. Do they give the Aggies another shot at Alabama as the No. 4 team in the field with a rematch against the team that demolished them earlier in the year or do they stick with the loser of the ACC title game?

The Aggies will continue to show that they aren’t the same team they were at the beginning of the year when Alabama dominated and the committee will have to make a tough choice.

My money is on this dominant win over Tennessee impressing the committee enough to put the Aggies in the playoff field.
