3. Cure Bowl

Outside of the New Year’s Six bowl games, which all feature top-25 matchups, there aren’t very many bowl games that will feature two ranked teams but one of those games will be the Cure Bowl as both Liberty and Coastal Carolina come in ranked in the AP top 25.

Coastal Carolina has been brilliant this season and is ninth in the AP poll right now and with a victory, they would be just about guaranteed a top-10 finish which would be an extraordinary achievement.

Plus, Coastal gets to take on another darling team during this 2020 college football season — Liberty, which went 9-1 as an independent and lost only to NC State, another ranked team.

The Flames beat teams like Syracuse and Virginia Tech this season and it’s awesome that we get to see two premier group of five teams square off and having one loss between the two teams playing in the game is something no bowl outside of the College Football Playoff can say.

If the Chanticleers are able to win and finish 12-0, following a 5-7 campaign a year ago, it will cap one of the great turnarounds in college football history.
