Dillon Gabriel goes off

Since the days of Scott Frost, UCF has become known for its offense and head coach Josh Heupel has the offense playing at a high level again this season and one reason why has been the outstanding play of quarterback Dillon Gabriel.

Gabriel doesn’t get talked about as much as he should on the national stage and in nine games this season, he eclipsed the 300-yard mark seven times, which gives him 11 games total the past two years with more than 300 yards passing.

Only Cincinnati and Temple were able to hold Gabriel under 300 and even the Bearcats and their stout defense allowed him to throw for 243 yards and three scores, which brings up another impressive point — he’s thrown multiple TDs in every game but one this season.

The Cougars give up just 195 yards per game in the air, but BYU hasn’t faced a pass offense like this and predicting Gabriel to throw for 300 yards isn’t even that bold.

Instead, I’ll say he gets close to 400 yards and throws four touchdowns as he and Wilson put on an absolute show.
