No. 1 Bama

Alabama is insanely good and the Crimson Tide, especially on offense, have proven to be just about unstoppable. Mac Jones and Devonta Smith are battling each other for the Heisman trophy and Najee Harris is another guy who probably finishes in the top five.

Smith has put together quite possibly the most insane season ever for a wide receiver. In just 11 games, he went over 1,500 yards and had 144 yards receiving or more on seven occasions. He also caught multiple touchdowns six times. And in his worst receiving game of the year, he returned a punt for a score.

Jaylen Waddle and John Metchie also combined for 1,339 yards and 10 touchdowns and between the two of them, they average 19.4 yards per reception.

On top of that, the Tide have the guru Nick Saban as the head coach and even though the Tide have allowed more yards through the air than they are accustomed, the run defense is pretty stout, which will be a key factor in both College Football Playoff games for Bama.

At this point, the Tide are the odds-on favorite to win this thing in my mind and If I was a betting man and I could take Bama or the field — I’d bet the Tide and not think twice about it.
