Georgia State Panthers’ redshirt freshman quarterback Cornelious Brown had a big day

If you ask Cornelious “Quad” Brown’s high school coach, former Alabama quarterback Andrew Zow, he’d tell you that Brown is a Power Five quarterback that got into the recruiting cycle too late. Brown certainly played like a big-time quarterback in this game. Brown threw for 232 yards and three touchdowns, chipping in another 40 yards rushing.

Brown showed poise and composure in the pocket all game knowing when to tuck and run and when to hang in the pocket and get the ball to his receivers. The only to blotches on an otherwise great game for Brown was an interception and an overthrow on a touchdown pass late in the game.

Western Kentucky quarterback, Maryland transfer Tyrrell Pigrome had his struggles against the Panthers. Pigrome is not known for his accuracy completing less than 60 percent of his passes this season. However, Pigrome had not thrown an interception all season. Pigrome threw two interceptions today.

It did not help that Georgia State’s defensive line was in the backfield most of the game. Pigrome found himself running from pressure most of the game. When Pigrome was not running from pressure, there were some missed throws.
