3. Michael Mayer has over 5 receptions and a touchdown

When you look at Michael Mayer you would not think he was a freshman. The freshman sensation has had a great first-year campaign and looks to add onto that in the playoffs.

It is not hard to find Mayer on the field standing at 6’5 and almost 250 pounds. Mayer on the year had 35 receptions for 388 yards, and two touchdowns. He is very underrated in the run game with his blocking abilities as well.

Mayer will be targeted multiple times by Book in the Rose Bowl and have a great game for the Irish. If you did not know who he was before this game you definitely will after this one.

What is scary is that Mayer still has at least two more years in an Irish uniform. Mayer will keep future defensive players up at night. Michael Mayer also known as baby Gronk has a great career ahead of him for Notre Dame, and the NFL too.
