Purdy will rebound

Brock Purdy really struggled against Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship game and his three interceptions were a huge cause of that tough loss to the Sooners.

If something similar happens in the Fiesta Bowl against Oregon, Iowa State will likely go home the loser again. However, Purdy had been on a roll prior to that game and that was only the fifth time in 11 games this year that he threw even one interception.

He still threw for over 300 yards and completed 67 percent on his passes and against an Oregon defense that allows 249 yards per game, Purdy should have no trouble passing for 300 yards again this week, unless of course Hall steals the show.

Either way, Purdy is one of the more underrated quarterbacks in the country. Six of his nine interceptions came in two games, but other than that, he has accounted for 22 total touchdowns and his accuracy has been very steady.

He’ll have a strong game, but will it be enough to win?
