Iowa State proves its legit again

If people still want to doubt whether or not Iowa State football is legit that’s their right, but you can’t take away anything from the Cyclones this season.

Not only did they beat Texas, Oklahoma and others in the Big 12 but Oregon too and those are basically three blue-blood programs. Iowa State didn’t win a conference title but won a New Year’s Six game and beat two programs that won the last four Pac-12 and Big 12 championships.

Iowa State forced Oregon into mistakes and when it scored, it used long drives. Iowa State held the ball for either 10 plays or drove 75 yards on four of its six scoring drives.

Purdy continued to play winning football and the culture on displayed by the Cyclones all season long has been special and that’s why they are routinely beating teams they aren’t supposed to be talented enough to beat.

Talent doesn’t mean everything, especially when you have an elite head coach.
