5. Pat Fitzgerald

Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald has been one of the most consistent coaches in the sport and he may have done his best job yet in the 2020 season.

Northwestern was coming off of an ugly 3-9 season, but turned it around to make an appearance in the Big 10 championship and nearly upsetting Ohio State in the process.

Fitzgerald has been able to find and develop talent at a place where it has been historically difficult to do so. The Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers have been rumored to have shown interest in hiring Fitzgerald in the past, but he has been reluctant in taking a job at the next level.

But it is being reported that Fitzgerald will look at the openings this offseason and it could be time for him to take the next step in his coaching career.

It will be interesting to see if any of these openings interest Fitzgerald, as the Packers and Bears jobs are not going to come open this offseason.
