1. Bryce Young – Quarterback (So.)

Much like Mac Jones had a lot of pressure in the previous offseason to be taking over the starting quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide, Bryce Young will have much pressure on him this offseason. There were some expectations that Young would have competed for the starting quarterback position for Alabama for the 2020 College Football season. Instead, Jones took over the position and helped create one of the most prolific offenses in the history of College Football.

This season, Young played in blowout games for the Tide. Young played in seven games for Alabama this season as he threw for 156 yards and a touchdown in 13 completions (out of 22 passing attempts). Young was put into positions where either the first-string offensive line was tired, or the second-string players gave up too much pressure. Young had his first collegiate passing touchdown in the win over the Kentucky Wildcats when he connected with Smith for 18-yards.

This offseason, all eyes from Tide Nation, College Football fans, and the CFB media will be turned on Young to see if he can continue the large amount of success at the quarterback position lately for Alabama. From 2016, the Tide have had great award-winning quarterbacks from Jalen Hurts to Tua Tagovailoa to Jones.

Young is the second-highest rated prospect in the recruiting class of 2020 by 247 Sports. He is tied with offensive linemen Cyrus Kouandjio and Andre Smith as Alabama’s highest recruited players since the early 2000s by 247 Sports.

There will be high expectations of Young as a dynamic playmaker in both the running game and the passing game.
