Future international college football stars

These international players might play a starring role soon for an FBS college football team.

Ruke Orhorhoro – DT, Clemson (Nigeria)

This 6-foot-4 defensive tackle was headed toward a promising sophomore season in 2020 before getting injured in the Clemson’s season opener against Wake Forest. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Orohorhoro signed with the Tigers after playing high school football in Michigan.

Kilian Zierer – OL, Auburn (Germany)

Zierer joined Auburn as a highly rated JUCO transfer a year ago. The junior from Munich began playing football at the age of 16 and is expected to contribute in 2021 for the Tigers under new head coach Bryan Harsin.

Alexander Ehrensberger – DE, Notre Dame (Germany)

The 6-foot-6 Dusseldorf native was rated as the No. 1 player in Europe among 2020 college football signees, and got his freshman season started with a splash against South Florida. In the 52-0 win against the Bulls in September, Ehrensberger recorded two tackles for loss and a sack.

Juliano Falaniko – LB, USC (American Samoa)

The junior from American Samoa was set for a big (albeit shortened) 2020 season with the Trojans’ defense, but was disappointingly sidelined with an ankle injury.

Jordan Moko – OT, undecided (Australia)

Moko is a 6-foot-5, 330-pound offensive lineman from Australia who has yet to commit on where he is playing college football in the United States. He is a former rugby player.

Alexander Honig – QB, TCU (Germany)

Honig is a high school recruit who just signed with TCU during the December 2020 early signing period. He’s a rarity as a highly rated signal-caller from across the pond.

Jairo Faverus – CB, West Virginia (Netherlands)

The Amsterdam native signed with the Mountaineers as the second-highest rated prospect from Europe in the 2020 recruiting class.
