Running Back

Starter: Cam’Ron Harris
Backups: Don Chaney (2a), Jaylan Knighton (2b)

This is a position that has a lot of experience heading into 2021 and one that is very talented. I am of the opinion that Don Chaney and Jaylan Knighton have higher ceilings and should see more carries than they did in 2021. Harris brings a power element to the team with his tough running style, but Chaney and Knighton are more explosive backs that have have more upside.

It will be tough for anyone to break through this rotation of three backs because of their experience in the offense and the talent that they have, but a name to keep an eye on for the future will be Thad Franklin, the four-star recruit that Miami signed in this recruiting class. Franklin has all the talent in the world and will be a key contributor in the years to come, but it will be tough to see the field in 2021.

Expect big things from this position group in 2021.
