Defensive Line

Starting defensive end: Travon Walker
Backup: Jalen Carter

Starting defensive tackle: Devonte Wyatt
Backup: Warren Brinson

Starting nose tackle: Jordan Davis
Backup: Nazir Stackhouse

This is shaping up to be one of the best defensive lines in the country and Georgia can thank the return of Jordan Davis and Devonte Wyatt for that. Wyatt was a surprise when he turned down an invite to the senior bowl to return to Athens and he should be a contender for all SEC teams next fall.

The bigger surprise was Jordan Davis returning. Davis is one of the best linemen in the country and was a potential early round pick in the NFL draft this April.

Travon Walker has a lot of potential as a pass rusher and he should benefit from playing beside Davis and Wyatt. Jalen Carter is a very versatile player that should see plenty of action because Kirby loves to rotate his defensive line. Brinson and Stackhouse should see snaps as well.

The defensive line should anchor the defense and it should be one of the best run defenses in the country.
