Defensive Line

Starting Defensive Tackles: Haskell Garrett and Taron Vincent

Backups: Ty Hamilton and Jerod Cage

Starting Defensive Ends: Zach Harrison and Tyreke Smith

Backups: Tyler Friday and Jack Sawyer

Haskell Garrett coming back was a huge boost to a unit that was really starting to find themselves at the end of last season and play at a dominant level.

Zach Harrison has been heralded as the next great pass rusher after the Bosa brothers and Chase Young left, but he has not been able to put together a full season yet where he has been consistent.

Taron Vincent is a big time talent as well and he could be the breakout candidate along the defensive line. Tyler Friday is a another guy that could be in for a breakout season as well, as he has a ton of experience and that will be pivotal this season.

A name that every college football fan should get acquainted with is Jack Sawyer, the true freshman defensive end that was the number one recruit according to a lot of outlets.

Sawyer is a very talented instate product that should be the next superstar pass rusher that plays for the Buckeyes.
