USC Football: 3 thoughts on 5-star Domani Jackson’s commitment
What it means for USC
Obviously, Jackson is an elite talent but what is USC football really getting in the No. 1 cornerback in the 2022 class?
Well, it’s getting a player that’s going to be comfortable in any scheme. He has length, is a solid tackler and his man-to-man coverage skills are top notch. He has first-round pick written all over him and he’s the kind of talent that should push to start immediately.
As Jackson tells Greg Biggins of 247 sports, USC has a lot of pieces coming including top-100 quarterback Miller Moss in 2021 and he sees a national title contender.
"“I really think with the class USC signed this year and the players we could get in my class, we’ll have a team that can compete for a National Championship,” Jackson said. “That’s always the dream, to be able to play for a championship in your hometown and help the local school get back on top.”"
Jackson said he was going to try to build on the class, as we will see with Johnson, but it’s clear that he’s thinking big with USC football and after this run of recruiting successes, why not?
