19. Northern Illinois Huskies – Victor E. Huskie

Northern Illinois went by the Profs, Cardinals, and Evansmen before they officially became the Huskies in 1940. The most famous of the mascots to serve for NIU was Diesel who retired in 2013 as they have decided to go with Victor E. Huskie instead.

Talk about an energetic, awesome, and loyal mascot to have as Victor E. Huskie truly knows how to get everyone pumped up to inspire the Huskies to make big plays. Not only does he do his part to get everyone on the same page but serves as an awesome reminder of the beautiful memory of Diesel.

Win or loss, Victor E. Huskie brings a lot of smiles to the faces of Northern Illinois fans all across the globe. He’s all about positivity and good sportsmanship on game day as he’s known to give some awesome high-fives for a job well done regardless of the outcome.
