9. Ring the Chapel Bell and Visit the Uga memorial at Georgia

One of the most storied and tradition-rich programs in the country, there’s a lot to see in and do in Athens, Georgia, and the university it contains. But for college football fans, ringing the famed chapel bell on campus and visiting the “Tomb of the Ugas” inside Sanford Stadium are musts.

The chapel bell on the north campus is not only beautiful but also quite the attraction. Fans and students line up to await their turn to ring the huge brass bell after a Georgia win. The sound can be heard all over campus.

Arguably the most famous and beloved live mascot in the nation, Georgia’s beautiful line of English Bulldogs simply named “Uga” has become an important part of the college football landscape.

Every past and now deceased Uga is forever enshrined in a tomb near one of the stadium’s main gates. There is a huge bronze English Bulldog in front of the memorial, and the years and team record for each pup can be seen.
