8. Pray to Touchdown Jesus at Notre Dame

A college football bucket list would be incomplete without a trip to South Bend and the campus of Notre Dame where you’ll walk into a cathedral.

It’s the University of College Football in America and the number of iconic players and coaches who have set foot on that campus is insane to think about. Notre Dame Stadium and the surrounding campus are littered with history and statues that can make any college football fan feel wistful.

The Word of Life Mural (more commonly known as Touchdown Jesus) is attached to the Theodore M. Hesburgh Library just outside the stadium and is as beautiful a sight as you’ll ever see in person, particularly in the fall.

From all the Heisman Trophy winners to Knute Rockne to Joe Montana to Touchdown Jesus, visiting Notre Dame is a must, even if you’re a fan of Michigan, USC, or Stanford.
