Will Healy, Charlotte HC

Another name that should garner some interest in this search is current Charlotte head coach Will Healy.

Healy has only been a head coach in the FBS for two seasons, but he led Charlotte to a bowl game in his year at the program and that was before he took over Austin Peay at the FCS level as head coach and led the Governors to eight wins in 2017, earning him FCS coach the year.

As the second-youngest head coach in the FBS, Healy would be a bit of a risk, but it’s hard for me to see other Group of Five head coaches taking his job over a bigger job somewhere else.

Jamey Chadwell of Coastal Carolina is another guy I would go after or Billy Napier. Yet, it feels like those guys are going to wait for a Power-5 job, at least that’s my guess.

Healy has been at Charlotte for two years and has won at multiple spots. If you put him at UCF, with those kinds of resources to recruit, he would help the Knights maintain their winnings ways for years to come.
