It might be worth stating that Kyree Young may not be quite as high of a priority for the Cyclones now that Eli Sanders is committed, but in the case that the Iowa State pledge doesn’t sign with the program on National Signing Day, this kid is a nice backup option. Still, it can’t hurt to sign both and go with the best option when the two hit the field.
Young is a three-star prospect from the talent-rich state of Ohio. Oh, and he has an elite offer list which includes the likes of LSU, Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee. While some of those may not be committable offers anymore, it’s still impressive that he garnered interest from them.
Iowa State is still going to battle for Young down to the wire, but the Crystal Ball on 247Sports favors Kentucky 100 percent — all while it shows his top three teams are Iowa State, Alabama and LSU.
We don’t have an inkling as to where he may sign, but Iowa State is right in the thick of it.
Young is ranked the No. 764 overall prospect and 43rd-best running back in the country, according to 247Sports.
