Months ago, there was serious doubt that COVID-19 would let the 2021 Senior Bowl take place this year in Mobile, Alabama. Much like the 2020 college football season, the 2021 Senior Bowl took it one day at a time to deliver a great week of practices and the game on Saturday.

NFL scouts and coaches, media personalities, and NFL draft analysts all came to Mobile to analyze and evaluate the best collegiate seniors this season. These are seniors that played their last seasons with unknown circumstances and potential early outings. These participants were able to prepare for their potential NFL career just like any other past participants of the past Senior Bowl.

At the beginning of the game, it looked like the defense for both teams were making things difficult for the opposing offense. After halftime, the offensive production started to pick up as there were key players that stepped up their potential.

In the end, it was the National Squad that took the 27-24 win in another tremendous Senior Bowl week. This game was the last chance for several participants to make one great impression in front of NFL scouts and coaches. With the 2021 NFL Scouting Combine not having any legitimate testing, other than measurements, the 72nd Senior Bowl was even more crucial for these participates.

There were several keynotes to take notice of throughout the entire week but there even more in the game to take notice of. Here are the five top storylines and performances from the National Squad’s 27-24 win.
