Why choose a Heisman winner when you could put the trophy on the cover?

PlayStation released the modern version of the game in 1998 and featured Heisman Trophy winner, Florida quarterback Danny Wuerffel. From 1998 until 2001, the cover of the game featured a Heisman Trophy winner. Alabama running back Shaun Alexander would be on the cover in 2001. Alexander’s cover set the precedent that the Heisman Trophy winner is not the game’s exclusive cover.

Since it’s been nearly eight years since the last game was released, instead of choosing on Heisman winner, just put the trophy on the game’s cover. EA Sports College football is a celebration of everything quirky, imperfect, and wonderful about college football. The Heisman Trophy is college football’s most iconic trophy, which is also a celebration of college football. Putting the Heisman on the cover of the game could give this edition of the game a theme.

The title could be “EA Sports College Football 2021: The Race for the Heisman.” An all-time Heisman team could unlock or special game cheats if you win the Heisman Trophy as a self-created player. The possibilities are endless with the Heisman Memorial Trophy on the cover.
