Saban on the cover would be a great way to bring the game full circle.

Bill Walsh was featured on the first two covers of the original college football releases by EA Sports on the Sega Genesis console. There has not been a coach featured since.

Tommy Trojan and Sparty, and the Wisconsin marching band have been featured in the game’s history, but no other coach has made the cover. No matter when the game is released, there is no one part of college football more deserving of the cover than Alabama head coach Nick Saban.

Saban has won more National Titles than any coach ever. Saban has managed to win in the most difficult era of college football.

All of those things add up to Saban being the greatest college football coach in the history of the game. Although we love the players who have worn our favorite teams’ jerseys, college football is known for the coaches who have patrolled the sidelines.
