Alabama Football: Way-too-early 2021 game-by-game predictions
A week before playing in the Iron Bowl, Alabama will face an Arkansas team that surprised a lot of people by how hard they played and the success they had relative to the expectations.
The Razorbacks will be missing quarterback Felipe Franks and running back Rakeem Boyd on offense next season and that will be the big questions that head coach Sam Pittman and offensive coordinator Kendal Briles will have to answer.
Alabama will need to stay focused with the season coming to an end and bigger games being on the horizon. I think that the Tide win this game convincingly though and move on to the Iron Bowl to face off with Auburn.
Final Score: Alabama 41, Arkansas 17 (11-0, 7-0)
The Iron Bowl is perhaps the greatest rivalry in college sports and one of the most hotly-contested ones, too.
Auburn is undergoing a coaching change after firing head coach Gus Malzahn and replacing him with Boise State head coach Bryan Harsin. He will be tasked with getting the most out of quarterback Bo Nix and hoping that he can keep Auburn in a bowl game this season. Harsin hired Mike Bobo to run the offense and former Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason to be the defensive coordinator and he is hoping those coaches can bring enough SEC experience to the staff.
I think that Auburn still has some talent, but I have questioned some of the staff hires and I don’t think Nix is getting that much better.
Alabama will be able to win this game and go on to the SEC championship where I think they will be meeting the Georgia Bulldogs. Alabama makes it two straight regular seasons undefeated.
Final Score: Alabama 38, Auburn 14 (12-0, 8-0)
