LSU Football: Way too early predictions for 2021 schedule
LSU will have another non-conference game before they start SEC play the following week. Central Michigan will make a trip down south to Baton Rouge to try and take down the Tigers. The Chippewas will be looking to bounce back from just a 3-3 season in MAC play last season and get back to contending for division championships and bowl games this season.
This will obviously be a very tough game for a team like Central Michigan and LSU will be hoping to get an established identity while it is still early on in the season. The defense will be hoping to be already identifying their primary playmakers outside of Derek Stingley Jr and a game against the Chippewas will help clarify that. Expect a big win here for LSU before SEC play begins.
Final Score: LSU 45, Central Michigan 13 (3-0)
This will be a game that all LSU fans will have circled on their calendars in 2021. The Bulldogs stunned LSU in the first game of the season last year and did so on the back of over 600 yards passing by the Bulldogs offense. This will be another test to see if the Tigers defense has progressed from last season and if it can defend Mike Leach’s air raid attack. Mississippi State will be relying on a young quarterback in Will Rogers and a defense that should be pretty solid again in 2021.
I think there is a big motivation factor that cannot be ignored in this game. LSU was embarrassed by Mississippi State last year and that game set the tone for the entire season. Expect a fired up LSU team to get a good victory to start SEC play.
Final Score: LSU 38, Mississippi 31 (4-0, 1-0 SEC)
