Iowa State beats Texas again

Oklahoma and Iowa State are going to be among the favorites in the Big 12, but don’t forget about Texas, which always has loads of talent and has a new head coach in Steve Sarkisian.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Longhorns improved next season. Heck, they were a solid, top-25 team in 2021. But for whatever reason, Iowa State football seems to play really well against Texas and I just have a feeling the Cyclones will find a way to beat the Horns again.

This Iowa State football team just feels too good not to get another significant win over Texas and/or Oklahoma. They seem to relish beating blue bloods and will do it again.

The Sooners are just a powerhouse and by the end of the year, they probably were the fourth-best team and I would have given them a better chance in the playoff than Notre Dame.

So, knocking off the Sooners seems like more of a stretch, although Iowa State will get close again and because of their win over the Horns, they will get two chances again in 2021.
