4-star RB Nicholas Singleton

Because of some moves in the transfer market, Penn State was able to bring in a running back during the last cycle, but the Nittany Lions didn’t sign a running back recruit in its 2021 class and that’s somewhat concerning.

Running back has been an important position for Penn State over the years and the ground game has been vital for the Nittany Lions’ success.

Well in 2022, Penn State has the advantage of having a really talented running back recruit in its own backyard in Nicholas Singleton.

Singleton is ranked 111th overall according to the 247 sports composite rankings and is third in the state. The prospect from Reading, PA is 6-foot-2, 210 pounds and despite heavy interest from Notre Dame and Ohio State, Penn State is leading with six crystal ball projections right now.

He could provide an immediate impact in the backfield next season and if the Nittany Lions are able to close with him, that would be five of the top 12 in the state.
