5. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Manhattan (KS). Kansas State Wildcats. 823. Oct 2

This will be a game that Oklahoma fans will have circled on their calendars all season. The loss to Kansas State last season likely cost the Sooners a spot in the college football playoff and it was the second straight loss to the Wildcats. Kansas State was a solid team with quarterback Skyler Thompson was healthy and they are hoping to once again surprise teams in the Big 12.

Manhattan can be a tough place to play and Kansas State has had Oklahoma’s number in recent seasons, but this is a bad spot for the Wildcats. Oklahoma is a more seasoned team than when they played last year and the Sooners will be very motivated to win this game. Oklahoma wins big.

Final Score: Oklahoma 51, Kansas State 20 (5-0, 2-0 Big 12)

851. Oct 9. Dallas (TX). Texas Longhorns. 6. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

One of college football’s premier rivalries will get a new taste to it with the arrival of new Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian to the program. Texas is hoping that Sark learned enough from his time at Alabama about how to lead a big-time program and can get the Longhorns competing for Big 12 titles and playoff spots sooner rather than later.

Texas is the only team in the Big 12 that can match Oklahoma for talent and that will make the game interesting. Texas looks to have a future superstar at tailback In Bijan Robinson and Casey Thompson are likely to take over for Sam Ehlinger at QB. I think Texas will be a good team this year, but I just trust the Sooners and their offense more in this big game.

Final Score: Oklahoma 42, Texas 38 (6-0, 3-0 Big 12)
