WR Zavier Betts

The first two Nebraska football players on this list are both veterans. But the third player who needs a breakout season for the Huskers is Zavier Betts, a highly-ranked four-star receiver the Huskers landed in 2020.

Betts was a huge get out of Bellevue and was the top recruit in Nebraska in his class. Last season, he started to make an impact as the 6-foot-2, 189-pounder caught 12 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown as a true freshman.

While Robinson was Frost’s best recruit at wide receiver, Betts was ranked 112th overall and when you add Toure, Oliver Martin and Fidone to the mix, Betts could really thrive, as could Martinez.

If Fidone is able to become a threat in the slot, that could really open up things for Toure and also for Betts, who is the most talented playmaker for Nebraska football at wide receiver.

Those three players are going to have some big production this season and Betts is someone I expect to catch between 40-50 passes for 700-800 yards. He’s that good and he will prove it to Nebraska football fans in 2021.
