College football small-school rivalry No. 3: Tuskegee vs Morehouse

In NCAA Division II, one of the best rivalries is also one of the longest as Tuskegee University and Morehouse College have been playing since 1902.

The game is now played in Columbus, Georgia, which used to be the site of the Auburn-Georgia game but then in 1936, the Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic was created and since then, the two teams have played each year in Columbus.

One of the best parts of this rivalry is that it’s not just about one game, it’s a celebration, sort of like a bowl game. There is a parade and of course, the bands are top-notch and another big draw to the game, which gets far more attendance than a normal D-II football game.

The atmosphere, pageantry, and tradition are matched by few other games in college football. Like others on this list, it even has its own nickname as the “Granddaddy of All Classics.” It’s also one of the best HBCU football rivalries of all time.
