By Dante Pryor
Will an entire offseason for JT Daniels and Todd Monken convince Kirby Smart to be more aggressive offensively?
Today’s game has proven that any program aspiring to win a national title must have a high-powered offense in order to win a national title. The last three champions have proved this to be true. The lack of a dynamic offense has kept Georgia from a national title.
The question for Georgia football is whether or not it is scheme or philosophy? This season will tell whether or not it is the scheme or philosophy that is the limiting factor for Georgia’s offense.
Daniels has an entire offseason to work with offensive coordinator Todd Monken in-person to familiarize himself with the offense. This also gives Daniels an entire offseason to work with the entire receving corps to get chemistry and continuity.
Georgia opens their season against Clemson. In order for the Bulldogs to have a chance to win that game, they have to push the ball down the field. Daniels is the right quarterback for the job.
If Georgia goes run-heavy and more conservative against Clemson, that will let us know that Kirby Smart’s philosophy is the limiting factor in Georgia’s chase for a title.
