Lincoln (NE). Scouting Report. Nov 6. Nebraksa Cornhuskers. 9. player. 810. Pick Analysis

After a tough two-game stretch against Indiana and Penn State, Ohio State will get an easier matchup on the road against Nebraska, who is still hoping that Scott Frost is the coach that can lead them back to the championship-winning days. Nebraska is still trying to find a quarterback to run Frost’s offense, but they also need to show a big improvement on defense if they want to make a dark-horse run at the Big Ten West division.

Nebraska hung around for a bit in the first half against the Buckeyes in Columbus last season, but the defense could not hold off Ohio State and the offense could not make any big plays down the field. Lincoln is historically a tough place to play, but don’t expect an upset by the Cornhuskers in this one.

Final Score: Ohio State 42, Nebraska 21 (9-0, 6-0 Big Ten)

Scouting Report. Nov 13. Columbus (OH). 848. Pick Analysis. Purdue Boilermakers. 10. player

After a road trip to Lincoln, Ohio State will return home to face Purdue, who is looking to get back to a bowl game in 2021.

Purdue has been a team that has given Ohio State trouble since Jeff Brohm took over in West Lafayette and the Boilermakers figure to be a tough team in 2021, at least on the offensive side of the ball. Despite losing Rondale Moore to the NFL, Purdue will still have David Bell at the receiver position and Brohm does a good job at developing QB’s.

I know that Purdue plays up to their competition, but this is a tough ask for them to go into Columbus and beat the Buckeyes. I don’t think that Purdue will be able to get enough stops on defense to be able to realistically pull the upset.

Final Score: Ohio State 38, Purdue 17 (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten)
