Sept 18. Washington State Cougars . player. 846. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Pullman (WA). 3

For their first road game of the season, USC will head to Washington State, which is one of the toughest places to play in the Pac 12. Washington State was a little uneven in head coach Nick Rolovich’s first season. The Cougars looked better than expected at first, competing with eventual Pac 12 champion Oregon, but then they looked rough in their game against USC. Washington State should have one of the best offenses in the conference, but their defense leaves a lot to be desired.

I think that Washington State will be a threat under Rolovich in the near future, but this will be another season of finding their playmakers and building for the future. Pullman is a tough place to play, but expect a Trojans victory here.

Final Score: USC 45, Washington State 27 (3-0, 2-0 Pac 12)

Sept 25. 4. Los Angeles (CA). Oregon State Beavers. player. 832. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

For the final game of September, USC will return home to face the Oregon State Beavers, who showed some signs of improvement in Jonathan Smith’s third season as the head coach and Oregon State will be looking to head to a bowl game this season.

The Beavers will be missing star running back Jermar Jefferson, who was their best player on offense last season by a pretty wide margin. Smith is known as a good offensive coach, but losing Jefferson is a huge blow. Oregon State is another Pac 12 team that does not project to have a very good defense.

This is going to be another game that USC should win comfortably. These kinds of games have never been guaranteed with Helton at the helm, but I don’t think that Oregon State is going to be able to stop this USC offense.

Final Score: USC 41, Oregon State 20 (4-0, 3-0 Pac 12)
