Texas Football: Way too early game predictions for 2021 season
For the final road game of the season, Texas will head to Morgantown to take on West Virginia, who is looking to be a Big 12 sleeper this season.
Neal Brown showed good improvement in his second season with the Mountaineers and had one of the top defenses in the conference. If West Virginia can show enough improvement on the offensive side of the ball, they could be a surprise team.
This will be a tough game to win for the Longhorns to win because of the West Virginia defense, but I think this could be a game where Texas relies on Bijan Robinson to carry them to victory, which he is capable of doing.
Final Score: Texas 24, West Virginia 21 (8-3, 5-3 Big 12)
For the season finale, Texas will host Kansas State and hope to close the season out strong. The Wildcats are hoping to have a bounce-back season and they will have an offense that will feature one of the most exciting players in the country in running back Deuce Vaughn. That is a great starting point, but Kansas State will need better quarterback play if they want to go to a bowl game this season.
Kansas State has been a very tough team to beat ever since Chris Kleimann took over the program and they will remain tough to beat every year. I think they are missing too many key pieces to challenge for a conference title this season, however.
Final Scores: Texas 28, Kansas State 17 (9-3, 6-3 Big 12)
