Games 5-8

Duke: Win

Perhaps one of the few Atlantic Coast teams that are worse than Georgia Tech is Duke. This match is in Chapel Hill, Duke has no pieces to their program that can even keep up with UNC, and the latter has won the last two meetings. Heels win it big over their basketball rivals.

Florida State: Win

North Carolina was a struggle for Florida State when the Seminoles were good. Now that they stink, the Tarheels should have no trouble here.

An upset should be prepared for after their 2020 meeting, but what are the chances of such a shocker unfolding twice in a row, especially when this time FSU is on the road? UNC winning by less than three scores would be a surprise.

Miami: Win

Miami is good, as they were last year. But they are not as good as North Carolina, as they weren’t last year. There will not be another 62-26 massacre, but the Hurricanes are not what they think they are. The Tarheels will prove that to them. Again.

Notre Dame: Loss

Their first and possibly sole loss of the regular season will be handed to UNC by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Irish have been a playoff team in recent years and will host North Carolina after the Heels have a bye week.

Unfortunately, one week off will not be enough to build the resistance that they will need so desperately against Notre Dame. It will not be a blowout, but a stout wake-up call for UNC, as their battle in 2020 was.
