9. Aqeel Glass- Quarterback, Alabama A&M

Scouts like quarterbacks with polish and room to grow. That, in a nutshell, is Alabama A&M quarterback Aqeel Glass. After being both All-SWAC and an FCS All-American, Glass could have taken a shot at the NFL this spring instead of suiting up for A&M. Instead; Glass decided to return to Huntsville.

Glass has all of the measurables scouts want in a quarterback. The now A&M grad is 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds with a rocket of a right arm. Glass has elite athletic traits with the ability to throw on the run either by design or when contain breaks down. Glass needs to work on his touch; every throw is a dart at times.

Though Glass can be a gunslinger at times, the Saint Louis native does take care of the ball, boasting a 2 to 1 touchdown to interception ratio for his career. Glass studies Patrick Mahomes and DeShaun Watson. That is evident by his ability to distribute the ball to the open receiver, not keying in on one receiver.

There are some mechanical flaws Glass needs to clean up at the next level. Despite having an elite arm, one of the best in this draft, he does have some issues with accuracy, primarily due to sloppy footwork at times.

Glass’s arm strength is going to be too rich to pass up. The Alabama A&M quarterback can be precisely the type you take in the late rounds and see if he can develop as a starter in the league.
