1. Central Florida (L)

Boise State has a new head coach, and will be heading to the other side of the country to open their slate against a team who is averaging two losses a year over their last four seasons. Not a pretty start to the Broncos’ 2021 run.

Record: 0-1

2. UTEP (W)

A punching bag game has made an appearance rather early for Boise State, as it will host the dreadful University of Texas-El Paso after a hurtful loss to UCF. Did I mention that this is their home opener? Boise State should prevail by over 20 here, easily.

Record: 1-1

3. Oklahoma State (L)

The Cowboys are no laughing matter, being a Power Five foe who has had a winning record every season for 15 years. The matchup unfolding in Boise will help the Broncos soundly, yet OK State will survive to hand BSU their second loss of 2021.

Record: 1-2

4. Utah State (W)

Boy, the first third of Boise State’s schedule is topsy-turvy to say the least. USU will be hosting, but that will only mean so much, as they have not appeared to be a contender since Jordan Love left town for the NFL. The Broncos take this one by two scores or more.

Record: 2-2, 1-0 Mountain West
